Gusserane GAA Club are hosting a night of comedy, hypnosis and mentalism with the acclaimed psychologi­st, Jason O’Callaghan in the Tintern Complex in Ballyculla­ne on Friday, June 30, at 8.30 p.m. Admission is only €10 and tickets are on sale from club officers. Winners in the hall last week were Declan Egan, Marie Doyle and Noel Redmond. Second went to Pat Whelan, Kieran Keating and James McDonald. Third were Willie Kehoe and Mick Reville while the last game draw winners were Alice Gaffney, Billy Power and M O’Neill. Raffle winners were James Larkin, Pat Ryan, Jimmy Lacey and Larry Power.

GAA ACTION

It was a mixed day for the local club last Sunday. The minor footballer­s were pipped by one point at home to OLI St Fintan’s. Later that day the junior footballer­s put in a powerful performanc­e in their All County League final against Marshalsto­wn to claim the title by four points. The seniors expect their league final to take place this Friday evening. Hard luck finally to the junior B hurlers who went down to Adamstown in their championsh­ip game last Friday night.

There was no jackpot winner last week when the numbers drawn were 3, 6, 15 and 24.
