FUSION YOUTH CAFÉ

Fusion Drop in service will end for the summer on Wednesday, June 28, with our last session from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. We will have a makeup artist on site giving tips and advice for all your make up needs and for the boys we will have a pool competitio­n.

BOAT BUILDING PROJECT

We at Fusion Youth Café are looking for 10 young people male/female that are in 1st year up to get involved in our week long summer camp of boat building. GAA CLUB NOTES

LOTTO - This weeks lotto jackpot is a total of €10,700 and tickets are on sale around the club from senior team players, club committee members and in local shops. The draw takes place on June 27th at 8.30pm in Bannow Ballymitty GAA Club. Thank you for your continued support

BARN DANCE 2017 - The third annual St James GAA Club Barn Dance will take place on Saturday July 15th in Shielbaggi­n. Tickets for the night will go on sale in the coming week and will be available in local shops and through all members of the club. There will be good music, great food and most of all plenty of banter to be had on the night. Be warned this will be the biggest and best barn dance yet.

FEILE NA NGAEL - A huge thank you to the many individual­s who teamed together to make Feile na nGael 2017 a resounding success for our club. From those involved in the organisati­on to those who worked tirelessly to have our grounds and pitches looking immense. To team mentors, parents, host families, and those who officiated on the day. To our guest teams St Lazarian’s Camogie, Laois and Padraig Pearse’s Hurling club Roscommon, who did their clubs and their counties proud.

To our catering volunteers and suppliers of food and refreshmen­ts who kept us well fed on both Friday and Saturday evenings and those who manned the shop over the few days. To our sponsors and supporters and in particular Baylestown Consultanc­y for their generous contributi­on. And finally to our players, a great bunch of boys and girls who battled hard on the pitch and hopefully made a few lasting friendship­s off the pitch. We’re already looking forward to next time Feile rolls our way.

GOLF CLASSIC - Preparatio­ns are now under way for the annual St James GAA Club Golf classic that will take place in Wexford Golf club on Friday July 14th. A time sheet is now available. LEINSTER FINAL - All roads lead to Croke Park on Sunday next July 2nd for the Leinster senior hurling final as the men of county Wexford take on the Tribesmen from Galway. Huge excitement is building around the county for this game and everyone in St James GAA Club would like to wish Matthew O’Hanlon (captain) and his team all the best in the final. We would encourage everyone in the club to put up a Wexford flag during the coming week as we want to show our support to Matthew and the team.

INTERCOUNT­Y FOOTBALL ACTION - Kevin O’Grady lined out with the Wexford senior football team in round 1 of the GAA All Ireland Football Championsh­ips last weekend Saturday June 24th. On Tuesday July 4th Wexford will go in search of a place in a first Leinster minor football final berth in 18 years as they take on Louth in Wexford Park at 7.30pm. The team is managed by John Nolan, selector is Luke O’Hanlon and on the field we have our own Jamie Myler. We would like to encourage everyone to come to Wexford Park on the night to cheer on our local lads.

HORTICULTU­RAL SOCIETY

Ramsgrange Horticultu­ral Society have sold out of all plants in the tunnel. Thank you to everyone who supported us.

SUGRADH SUMMER CAMP

We are now taking bookings for Sugradh summer Camp 2017 at SWWFRC. The camp will run on the following dates.

WEEK 1: July 3 to July 7 (4-7 years) 10 a.m. 3 p.m., WEEK 2: July 10 to July 14 (4-7 years) 10 a.m. 3 p.m., WEEK 3: July 17 to July 21 (4-7/8-12 years) 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., WEEK 4: July 24 to July 28 (4-7/8-12 years) 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (This camp will run subject to numbers).

The Bluebell Café is open on the first Wednesday of every month, to older people, their families and carers who are coping with memory loss issues.
