Ceol agus craic in Danescastle
THERE was ceol agus craic at last Tuesday’s seisiún show by Danecsastle Music Group.
Margaret O’Sullivan of Danescastle Music Group said the weekly Tuesday seisuin at the Horse and Hound had showcased the talents of the Leinster Fleadh winners who all brought their medals and trophies with them on the night to display
‘It was a brilliant night’, said Margaret. ‘ There was a really good atmosphere and people really enjoyed the music. We had all our Leinster Fleadh medal winners there on the night which made it very special. All the groups, bands and individuals performed on the night and their performances went down a storm.
‘We had a very international audience with people from Ireland, America, Australia, South Africa, Switzerland, Spain and England there and they really got into the spirit of things. A group of Spanish students played the Spanish guitar while a South African man sang a song in French.
‘An American also sang a song accompanied by two of our players. This is one of our weekly Tuesday sessions in the Horse and Hound and tonight (Tuesday) we will feature a perform by the Cumas Ceili Band which should be a great night’s entertainment.’
