Bail for thief accused

A teenager stood accused of robbing €35,000 worth of rings from a jeweller’s shop near his home in New Ross.

Defendant Ryan Healy from 11 Fair Green, New Ross was also charged with robbing €115 in cash from Forristal’s Jewellers, South Street.

A successful bail application seeking the liberty of the 18-year-old accused was dealt with in camera before Judge Cheatle sitting at the District Court in Gorey.

Healy attended court with his mother and sister.
