Events award for Banqueting Manager Michael Halpin
MICHAEL Halpin from Clayton Whites Hotel, Wexford received Banqueting Manager of the Year 2017 at this year’s Event Industry People Awards, which were held in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin,
Michael manages the Conference and Banqueting team in Whites Hotel, where they organise and plan weddings or any other function.
With over 25 years of hospitality experience, Michael takes care of every wedding couple and ensures that it is in the style the couple want it in.
Michael, and the other winners, were presented with their trophies on the night which was attended by hundreds of people. The event featured live entertainment as all 23 winners were announced.
The Event Industry Awards were launched in 2009 to celebrate excellence and showcase the very highest standards in Ireland’s event industry.
It not only acknowledges teams, companies and clients who raise the bar in Ireland but it is also an opportunity to recognise the outstanding people in the different areas.
An independent panel of recognised judges determined the winners of the Industry Awards.
Judges included Alex Gibson, senior lecturer in School of Hospitality Management and Tourism, Mary O’Rawe, lecturer in Innovation Management, School of Hospitality Management and Tourism and Rachelle O’Brien, assistant lecturer in School of Hospitality and Tourism.
