Students on the Practical Skills for SME Employment Major award Level 5 course which is due to start at the end of August will gain an award recognised by employers with an emphasis on subjects that will include multi-skills required by local business. Modules include, Accounting Manual and Computerised, Business Administration, Work Experience, Digital Marketing, Customer Service, Design Skills, E-Business and Entrepreneurial Skills. The programme includes different elements that will be of great support and value to young SME businesses ‘We have 33 businesses situated in Enniscorthy Enterprise Centre and will have about 20 in Gorey, many of which facilitate us in work experience. We have a tendency to target companies that are expanding or have a good chance of employing people after work experience,’ said a centre spokesperson.
