The Rower/Inistioge GAA Club annual summer barbecue will take place this Saturday, July 29, at 9 p.m. in Mannion’s, New Ross. There will be plenty of good food, good music and good company. Tickets cost €10 and are available from any member of the committee.
Hard luck to Conor Joyce, David Kelly and Jack Walsh, who were members of the Kilkenny Football panel beaten by Meath on a score-line of 2-8 to 2-21 in the recent Junior Football, all-Ireland semi-final.
The Junior B’s lost out to Ballyhale Shamrocks on Saturday evening last in Inistioge on a score-line of 1-13 to 2-17.
VINTAGE RALLY
This year is the 25th anniversary of the Inistioge Vintage Rally which will be held on Sunday, August 6 (bank holiday weekend). With a large display of working vintage machinery, including steam engines, vintage tractors and steam threshing. Special awards to celebrate the Ford Motor Company’s 100-year anniversary, with Best Vintage Ford Automobile and Best Vintage Ford Tractor and the Leslie Rothwell Trophy for the Best Vintage Exhibit.
Inistioge vintage rally is a fun day out for all the family in an idyllic setting. The entry fee is €5, children are free. Why not head to Inistioge for what will be a great summer family event. Proceeds will go to local charities and organisations.
