ULLARD MASS COMMITTEE

The annual Mass was celebrated at St Fiacre’s Church ruins and cemetery at Ularrd Graiguenam­anagh by Fr G Byrne PP on Friday last, July 21, It was very well attended, which included a couple from Canada, The weather held out dry after very many showers looked very threatenin­g.

REGATTA WEEKEND

The annual Graiguenam­anagh/Tinnahinch Regatta will be take place over the August Bank Holiday Weekend Sunday and Monday.

LIBRARY NEWS

Library Membership is Free for every one the library will hold a free talk on farm safety for children and families on Wednesday, July 26, from 11.30 p.m. to 12.30 p.m. Agri kids was founded in 2014 in the midst of Ireland’s worst year on record for farm safety and is a new approach to farm safety awareness. An approach that would positively engage, educate and empower young children to be our farm safety ambassador­s. More info agrikids.ie.

Summer Stars Reading Challenge is now up and running How does it work? Collect your starter pack at the library, choose your books and check them out. Return your books to the library, hand in your card to have it stamped. You must visit the library three times. On each visit your will receive a small gift. If you complete the challenge and return your card, you will receive a certificat­e and medal, and be invited to a celebratio­n night in the Ormonde Hotel September 28. Remember: Bring your card each time.
