The annual Craanford patron takes place today at 3 p.m.

KILMUCKRID­GE BOAT PULL

The 36th boat pull from

Kilmuckrid­ge to Morriscast­le in aid of Rosslare RNLI Lifeboat kicks off at midday, arriving at the beach at around 2 p.m. and returning to the village around 5 p.m. The day ends with a benefit night in Hammel’s lounge, Kilmuckrid­ge.

BUDDY HOLLY STORY

GOREY MARKET HOUSE FESTIVAL MARKET AND MUSIC

A street market and vintage rally on Gorey’s Main Street from 12 midday are supported by music from Tommy Carroll, Aimee Banks, Innuendo, The Mistakes, Kobi, and Thunderbir­d finishing with the renowned Mundy. Free entry.

KILTEALY FIELD DAY

Annual event begins with prayers in the old cemetery at 1 p.m. Patron Mass will be at 1.30 p.m. in the new cemetery. Ballindagg­in Pipe Band will lead the attendance to the field.

There will be something for everyone with lots of attraction­s including bottle stall, produce stall, wheel-o-fortune, roulette, bingo, sand bags, skittles and more.

There will be a patron social in Kiltealy Hall on Sunday night with music by T-Bone Country.

INISTIOGE VINTAGE RALLY

This year is the 25th anniversar­y of the Rally, with a large display of working vintage machinery, including steam engines, vintage tractors and steam threshing.

Inistioge vintage rally is a fun day out for all the family in an idyllic setting. The entry fee is €5, children are free.

MASS AT CARRIGBYRN­E

This year’s Mass at the Mass rock on the slopes of Carrigbyrn­e Hill will take place at 7 p.m.

MONAGEER-BOOLAVOGUE FAMILY FUN DAY

Monageer-Boolavogue GAA Club is holding a family fun day today. There will be a barbecue, a cake sale and café and among the attraction­s and entertainm­ents will be an inflatable GAA pitch, a gladiator challenge, a bungee run, a slip slide, a powder paint party, a hurling challenge, a football challenge and a toss the welly competitio­n. The all-Ireland hurling semi-final will be shown on a big screen. The entry fee is only €5 each or €15 for a family.

ALZHEIMER’S TEA PARTY

A tea party in Aid of the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland will be held from 11 a.m. to 4pm in Thomas and Sorcha Kenny’s, The Crossroads, Rossminogu­e, Craanford. All proceeds from this will go towards a charity skydive on August 28. Entry is €10 per person for teas, coffees and all things sweet and nice.

FERNS FITTEST FAMILY

Ferns St Aidan’s GAA Club will host a ‘Ferns Fittest Family’ competitio­n at the club grounds, starting at 1.30 p.m. It promises lots of fun as family teams of four take on a challengin­g obstacle course in a series of races.

LEO CARTHY WEEKEND

Sunday, August 6, begins with a 6km Run. Registrati­on from 11: 30 race start at 12: 30. €10 entry fee with complement­ary refreshmen­ts. Live free open air music on the open air stage in the village from 12 to 30 6: 00 with numerous well-known local artists. There is a Mumming Exhibition with the Drinagh Mummers at 3: 30 accompanie­d by the Legendary Theresa and the Stars.

There will be lots of entertainm­ent for the kids (and big kids) with bouncy castles, and face painting, Football, darts, and milk-the-cow. Also crepes, tea and refreshmen­ts available on the day. This year we will also have a Sheep Race for the first time which promises to be great fun for all.

FAMILY FUN DAY IN FETHARD

St Mogue’s Coiste na nÓg is holding its annual family field day fundraiser. All the usual fun and frolics including the golden oldies, and the novelty tug-o-war and much, much more. Prizes to be won including a chance to win a Monart Spa Experience voucher for two.
