The winners of the Progressiv­e 45 Card Game in Colclough Hall, Saltmills last Sunday night were Nicholas Doyle, Johnnie Flynn and Seán Doyle. In second place were Maura Cahill, Sonny Cahill and Michael Murphy. There was a tie for third place between Aidan Colfer, John Sinnott and John Joe Murphy and David Murphy, Siobhán Doyle and Georgie Foley.

The last game draw was won by Johnnie Doyle, Eileen Doyle and Seán Finn.

The raffle winners were Georgie Foley, John Sinnott, Maura Cahill and Carmel Kehoe.

WEEKLY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s Club’s lotto jackpot of €11,400 so next week’s jackpot stands at €11,500. The club had one lucky-dip winner, Mag Walsh, who won €30. The winning numbers were 7, 10, 15 and 18 and bonus number 18.

The senior footballer­s played St Martin’s in New Ross last Saturday evening, full report in next week’s paper.

COISTE NA NÓG

In another busy week for our underage teams on Monday evening the under-16 footballer­s (with Clongeen) went down to near neighbours Horeswood in their final group game in Horeswood. They now qualify for the Division 1 Shield competitio­n.

On Wednesday evening the minor footballer­s (with Clongeen) travelled to Kilmore to take on Kilross Gaels (Kilmore/Rosslare) and came away with the points after a very good win on a final scoreline of 4-16 to 2-10.

Also on Wednesday evening the under-12 footballer­s completed their group games with a hugely entertaini­ng match v visitors St Joseph’s. Trailing 3-5 to 1-3 at one stage they made a great comeback but lost out by just two points on a 3-5 to 2-6 scoreline. They now qualify for the county quarter finals.

300 CLUB DRAW

Please support the upcoming 300 Club Draw in aid of Templetown Parish funds. The draw will take place each month and run for 12 months. Tickets costs €60 for the 12 draws. Prizes first €150, second €100, third €50.

COUNTRY MARKET

Fethard-on-Sea Country Market is open every Saturday from 10.30 a.m. to midday at St Mary’s Hall, supplying fresh local veg, baking, plants, eggs, chocolate, artwork and crafts. The Market will run every Saturday for the summer months right up to September 2 and all are welcome.

Fethard fitness weekly circuit classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. Learn to lift Friday at 6.30 p.m. Beginner Friday at 7.30 p.m. Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Personal and group sessions weekly. Contact Nuala at 087 9111901 for more informatio­n.

STEP AND TONE CLASSES

From June to September Circuit Classes every Monday Evening at 7.30 p.m., Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. and Step and Tone Classes Friday morning at 10 a.m. in St Mary’s Hall, Fethard, all fitness levels welcome and catered for, pay as you go classes €7. Contact Maureen 087 7479258.

The Pierce O’Mahoney golf classic takes place on Sunday, August 13, at the Abbey Par three, Fethard-on-Sea. Cost of entry is €20 entry (Singles games). SPLIT THE POT

Well done to Dermot Cahill on winning the first ever Saltmills/ St Kearns Split The Pot. Dermot picked up €141.70 which is fantastic for our first ever Pot. Next draw will take place last Sunday of August in Vine Cottage.
