The college is located in a rural area with a very strong and vibrant farming community. The courses were devised to meet the needs of the Wexford Farming community and were developed in consultation with local farmers and farming groups such as Macra na Feirme and the Irish Farmers Association at both county and national level. Relationships have also evolved with national agencies and industry-leading companies such as Connolly Red Mills, Keenan Alltech, Slaney Foods, Dairymaster amongst others, which has provided the staff and students of the college with access to some of the best facilities and specialists in Ireland.
