Clerical appointments in Diocese of Ferns

THE half parish of Ballyoughter recently said a fond farewell to Fr Thomas Orr who had served in the parish since 2005.

The parishioners made a presentation to him on the occasion of his departure and wished him every happiness in his new appointment as curate in New Ross parish.

The former curate in New Ross, Fr Tomás Kehoe, has been appointed to take up Fr Orr’s old position in Ballyoughter, which is a half parish of Camolin.

In other clerical news, newly ordained Fr Billy Caulfield is now priest ‘pro tem’, (temporarily) for Fr Denis Doyle at Kilmore.

The Reserve Defence Forces are looking for recruits to join E Company 3rd Battalion based in Wexford town and covering the county.
