Rall4Hope driver lost his wife to cancer in 2016

-

ONE of the drivers taking part in this year’s Wexford Volkswagen Stages Rally will be raising funds for the Hope Cancer Support Centre in Enniscorthy in memory of his wife who lost her life to cancer last year.

Rally4Hope is being partnered with the stages rally to raise funds and awareness of the work carried out by the Hope centre.

The driving force behind this event is Emmet Cleary and his son Josh, from Wellingtonbridge, who lost their wife and mother Niamh to cancer in September 2016, just days after her 30th birthday.

It is their hope to make people aware of this facility as well raising much-need funds to help with the centre’s operational costs of €1,000 a day for their services.

Emmet will have help from many volunteers collection at various locations over the recce and rally weekend. Donations are also accepted via http://www.hopesupportcentre. ie/donate/. The 2017 Wexford Volkswagen Stages Rally is due to take place over the weekend of September 9 and 10 and is billed as the largest sporting event in the county.
