National Learning Network helps students to achieve their potential Enniscorthy Credit Union

WE AT National Learning Network in Wexford have a range of WWEBT and HSE funded courses to give our students the skills they need to increase their confidence and to get and keep a job.

Our courses combine classroom based learning and on the job training and offer each student the personalised support they might need to gain a QQI qualification.

Our focus is on supporting each student to achieve his or her maximum potential in further or higher education, training and in accessing employment.

We work with each person to establish his or her goals and overcome barriers to achievement of these goals. We provide personalised education and training courses to individuals with extra needs including an intellectual disability, mental health needs, health conditions and illness, recovery from accident and injury. OUR Education Loans mean that parents and students alike can sort out the financial side of 3rd Level which leaves the student to concentrate on their studies.

Pat O’Shea, Chairman commented that ‘ Enniscorthy Credit Union wishes all Leaving Cert students success in their future whatever it may bring. We are always thinking about the needs of our community; in particular the financial needs and interests of the younger members of our community.

Last year we lent over €985,000 in Education Loans to nearly 250 members of the credit union and we expect to surpass that this year.

With access online to member accounts including payments in and out of your account now available, it is possible for our student members to remain with their local credit union and continue to avail of our services even when they are away at college.’

Our annual Scholarship Draw continues with a fund of €9,000 available to 1st year registered student members. With the regrettable passing of our long serving staff member Brenda O’Neill who was a very strong advocate of the Scholarship Draw, from now on the Board of Directors have stated the yearly scholarship draw will be renamed “The Brenda O’Neill Memorial Scholarship Draw”.
