TAPESTRY EXHIBITION
‘A Told in Thread’, 15 embroidered tapestries depicting our Norman Heritage in The Ros Tapestry Exhibition Centre, New Ross, from 11 a.m.
LECTURE
Talk at Newtownbarry House and Gardens in Bunclody at 3 p.m. Lecture by Professor Nicola Gordon-Bowe about the history of Newtownbarry Lace School and its place in the 19th century.
ART AND CRAFTS
Varied crafts on display by talented locals in the JFK Memorial Park and Arboretum, from 11 a.m. Local plein-air painter Jane Meyler will paint some landscapes as well.
COOLGREANY GYMKHANA
The annual Gymkhana and field day will be held in Coolgreany Village. If you would like to help out, please contact Declan Finn at 086 2437343. Tickets for the big raffle are for sale at present – prize fund of €1,000.
OYLEGATE HALF MARATHON AND 10KM
This annual half marathon will start at 10am and the 10km at 10.30. Race packs will be available to collect on the morning.
FORGE VINTAGE CLUB ROAD RUN
The Forge Vintage club will hold an all-vehicle road run, with registration in Foulksmills beginning at midday and leaving Foulksmills at 1 p.m. All vehicles new and old are welcome on the event. All proceeds of the event will go to the Wexford Hospice Homecare and other local charities.
There will be refreshments in the Oak Tree bar on return. The registration costs is €20 and there will be a free raffle for participants on the day. For further details, contact 085 2720888 or 085 2732575.
