BREE BARN DANCE

The annual barn dance In Byrne’s of Bree Grainstore is this evening. Tickets are now available from Bree post office, Byrne’s Shop and members of the Hall Committee.

11K WALK

The Unyoke 11 K Walk will begin at 10 a.m. from The Trading Post. Everyone is welcome to take part.

HISTORICAL WALKING TOUR

Gorey Library hosts a historic walking tour with Willie Willoughby as part of Heritage Week. Meet at the Magic Garden at the bottom of Esmonde Street at 2 p.m. The walk takes approximat­ely two hours. This event is free. Booking is recommende­d. Phone 053 9421481.

A willow basketry making course in the Irish National Heritage Park, Wexford, at 10 a.m.

Daytime carnival in the sports grounds at Craanford. Traditiona­l music in the marquee from 7 p.m. with Ferns Comhaltas, Tuaisceart Loch Garman, and John Bass and Friends. Full bar and barbecue. In aid of the underpass.

INFORMATIO­N DAY

The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group host an informatio­n day at Hook Lighthouse telling visitors how best to spot the minke and humpback whales which are frequently seen off the peninsula, along with details on dolphins, porpoises, seals and other sealife.

OPEN GARDEN

CLONMINES CASTLE

The medieval site of Clonmines Castle will be open to the public for the evening. Ian Doyle of the Heritage Council will speak at 5 p.m. and all are welcome to bring a picnic and a blanket.
