CLOUGHBAWN GAA

The under-21 hurlers won the District Final with a victory over Duffry Rovers in Patricks Park last Tuesday, August 29.

The minor hurlers reached the county semi-final also with a win in Castleboro on Wednesday, August 30, defeating Castlecraa­n Gaels. Best of luck lads.

5K WALK/RUN

A large crowd turned up for recent Walk/Run at the GAA Complex, the latest event in the Centenary Ambassador fundraiser organised by candidates Pat Crean and Mark Codd. Thanks to all who took part and anyone who helped make this a memorable event for young and old. Lots of pix on club Facebook page.

Date for your diary.. Candidate Pat Crean is organising a Blind Date night in the Cloch Bán September 8. Great craic guaranteed. Due to the incredible demand of GAAs loneliest of hearts looking for love, ‘Blond Date’ takes place in the Cloch Ban in Clonroche on Friday, September 8. Watch some of Wexford’s most eligible bachelors and bacheloret­tes try to find their perfect match from the mystery contestant­s. Will all of our Marvellous Men and Wonderful Women leave with a date? Or will some Unlucky Lads and ladies struggle to find their match. Swing by for a fun filled night to find out. Tickets will be on sale on the door.

COMEDY SHOW

Pat Crean and Company’s Famous Comedy Show is a night of laughter and entertainm­ent in the Horse and Hound on Saturday, September 16, starting at 8.30 p.m. Entry is €10 and there will be a door prize and other prizes on night.

VARIETY CONCERT

A variety concert will take place in Clonroche Community Centre on Sunday, October 1, at 8 p.m.

Proceeds for all the above events in aid of the Cloughbawn GAA Centenary Ambassador fund.
