Enniscorthy 8, Dundalk 10: Enniscorthy’s second team were beaten 10-8 by the visitors Dundalk at Ross Road after they missed a host of chances of winning the game in the last 15 minutes.

Dundalk bagged two tries in the opening 40 minutes as the home team struggled to get some rhythm in their play.

They eventually got their act together in the second-half. Michael Farrell kicked a penalty to reduce the lead and the onslaught on the Dundalk line told five minutes from the end.

After several drives from the forwards, Alexander Pim crossed in the corner but it left a difficult conversion kick for out-half Michael Farrell into the cross wind which he just pushed inches wide as Dundalk held on for the win.

Team: John Nolan, Jamie Barron, Tom Farrar, Pat Doyle, James Doyle, Martin Kehoe, Liam Stamp, Glen Deacon, David Farrar, Michael Farrell, Finn Condon, Alexander Pim, Sebastian Pim, Jake Murphy, Fiacre Ryan. Subs. used - Tony White, Cathal Mernagh, James Stone, Owen Cullen, Adam Coppen.

Enniscorthy 64, Gorey 22: This was an exciting Under-14 SouthEast league game with the final scoreline flattering Enniscorthy after a brave effort from a Gorey team which never gave up right to the end.

The Enniscorthy boys proved too strong however, especially with their pace out wide. It was a special day for second centre Aaron Quigley who scored five tries, and James Kalyta scored a try and kicked seven conversions.
