Great excitement at official opening of Deegan’s Toymaster

-

THERE was great excitement in Deegan’s Toymaster last week at the official launch of the new look store.

The expansion of Deegan’s to incorporate Toymaster in its South Street store has been hailed as a boost for New Ross as large companies turn their eyes towards the potential of the town centre.

With over 250 shops throughout the Republic of Ireland and UK the decision of Toymaster to open in New Ross is seen by many as a kickstart of a new phase of economic growth. Their new location in the heart of the town will hopefully encourage more businesses to realise the potential of New Ross which boasts a large catchment area and currently improving transport infrastructure.

The Toymaster store is located upstairs in Deegan’s and offers a Christmas saving club to help parents order and pay for toys in advance of Christmas.

Catering for all budgets and taste Deegan’s stock brands such as Lego, Disney, Hasbro, Mattel and all the latest trending toys. It is hoped the wide range of toys available will encourage people to shop locally in New Ross instead of travelling to Waterford, Wexford or Dublin.

Anthony Deegan of Deegan’s Toymaster said: ‘ The launch went really well for us and we were delighted with the turnout. A big hit with the kids was the appearance of Toby Toymaster who was more than happy to pose for pictures during the day.

‘ The Christmas Club is already trading well and it’s good for parents because they can spread the cost out and it gives us an idea of what’s needed in the run up to Christmas.’

Deegan’s is open all week.
