State of the art Fitness Centre opened in New Ross on Saturday
THE new state of the art Farrell Fitness Performance Centre opened in New Ross on Saturday with a bang.
Farrell Fitness which is located at Unit 1, Priory Quay, New Ross (beside Lidl) is the brainchild of Robbie and Keeley Farrell.
The duo are no strangers to the body conscious in New Ross and district as they have been achieving phenomenal results as WHL ( Weight, Health, Lifestyle) Consultants at Northgate Street Medical Centre over the past 19 months.
Now however they are opening their own centre and realising their dream enabling them to operate all aspects of the their business under the one roof.
Farrell Fitness boasts a very impressive high performance Strength and Conditioning Room with four high performance Squat Racks and Platforms, Olympic Bars and Weights, Assault Bikes, Concept 2 Rowers, Free Weights, Prowlers and Track, Slam Balls, Kettle Bells, TRX plus much more! The fully equipped studio will offer Spinning (using the latest Keiser M3 bikes), Circuit Training, Pilates and Mobility/ Flexibility classes. This is in addition to the services they previously offered with WHL Consultants including; Weight Loss, Sport Massage and Nutritional Advice. For sports massages there is a new leather, electronic massage bed which will add to the experience.
Both Robbie and Keeley have a wealth of experience between them.
New Ross native Robbie received a First Class Bachelor of Business Honours Degree in Sports Management & Coaching and a B.A. in Sport and Exercise at IT Carlow before furthering his studies in Nutritional Therapy & Sports Massage Therapy offering clients a very holistic approach to weight loss, fitness goals and lifestyle change.
Originally from Bradford in England, Keeley graduated from Leeds City College with a BTEC National Diploma in Sports Science before moving to New Ross in 2000. In 2012 she graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology with a Master of Arts Degree in Sports Studies having previously attained a First Class Honours Degree in Recreation and Sport Management in 2010. An experienced Lecturer of Sport, Keeley has worked with elite athletes in the area of sport nutrition and coaching, and currently teaches a variety of sport management and coaching modules with The Open University.
Joining Robbie and Keeley is Tomas Moran. Tomas holds an Honours Degree in Exercise and Health Studies from WIT and is a REPS accredited Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. As well as having a keen interest in anatomy and physiology, Tomas has attained coaching/instructor qualifications in the following areas; Weight Lifting, Kettle-bells, Spinning, Circuit Training and TRX.
