Inspiring Bobby brings Dragon fire to Graigue
BOBBY KERR of Dragon’s Den, who has recovered from a two year battle with cancer, was the celebrity guest at an action packed Bank of Ireland Enterprise Day held in Graiguenamanagh recently.
The Graiguenamanagh Enterprise Day took place at Abbey Hall in the town. Large crowds attended the events, hosted by local branch manager Lena Power who welcomed everyone at the start of the day’s proceedings. A performance by the trad group John & Friends followed.
This was followed by networking, while Duiske College music artists entertained. At noon three charities did Dragon’s Den pitches, followed by networking.
A Bizworld programme taking place in both local primary schools, Scoil Mhuire gan Smal and Graig Boys National School saw a trophy and prizes presented by Kilkenny camogie player Ann Dalton to each school and students.
An Age Action Award was presented to Skeoughvosteen Primary School who took part in a Bank Of Ireland programme to train pupils to help elderly family members on technology e.g. use of iphone, smartphone or tablet. The award for this programme was presented by Mr Kerr. An insightful panel discussion on tourism takes place hosted by Bobby Kerr, followed by Down to Business questions and answers, a Bank of Ireland Give Together Dragon’s Den charity presentation and a performance by Duiske College music artists and a closing speech by Ms Power.
