All Blacks bounce back with win in Courtown

Courtown Hibs 1, All Blacks 4: All Blacks bounced back from their opening day defeat to Curracloe, with a strong second-half performanc­e giving them a 4-1 win in Courtown.

Grace Davis was on target for Hibs but two goals from Ciara Murphy, one in each half, and two second-half goals from Aoibheann Rankin gave All Blacks victory.

New Ross Town 4, Ballindagg­in F.C. 1: The home side led 2-0 at the break in this match with goals from Emma Rossiter and Ella Nolan. In the second-half, their sisters Abi Rossiter and Ciara Nolan also scored to give New Ross Town a 4-1 win over Ballindagg­in. all three points in this match, with Maeve Boushel also scoring for the home side. Jenna Kirwan was on target for Wexford Youths.

Aughrim Rangers 5, Moyne Rangers 1: Katie Whelan was on target for a young Moyne side but it was not enough against a strong Aughrim outfit who made it two wins from two games with this 5-1 win.

Chloe Sheehy and Ciara Connolly scored two goals each with Willow Jordan also finding the net.

Forth Celtic 5, Gorey Rangers 0: Forth Celtic proved too good for Gorey Rangers and ran out comfortabl­e 5-0 winners to keep in touch with the leaders.

Sinéad Cullen, Muireann Hynes, Saoirse Doyle, Becky Cashin and Nicole Goff all scored for a dominant home side.

Kilmore United 0, Adamstown 3: Adamstown took all three points in this game as they overcame a lack-lustre Kilmore side who never really got into the game.

Two goals from Aoife McCabe and one from Cara McDonald secured all three points for the visitors.

Carnew F.C. 2, St. Joseph’s 2: These sides played out a very exciting and entertaini­ng 2-2 draw in a game where a draw was probably the fairest result in the end.

Sasha Danza scored both goals for St. Joseph’s while Emma Kinnear and Aoife Wafer replied for Carnew.

New Ross Town seconds 1, Shelburne F.C. 5: Shelburne made the short journey into New Ross a worthwhile one when they came away with all three points after a 5-1 win.

Ciara Walsh scored for Town but two goals from Keelin Barron and one each from Eimear Porter, Sophie Kennedy and Eibhlin McCabe gave the Ballywilli­am girls victory.

Bree United 1, Ferns United 0: In a very tight game where defences dominated, chances were at a minimum and it was always going to take a spark of brilliance to decide a winner.

Grace O’Donohue was the provider of that spark as she scored the only goal of the game to give Bree victory.

Cushinstow­n A.F.C. 7, Seaview United 0: The home side took all three points in this game as they overcame a young but enthusiast­ic Seaview side.

Aoife Byrne scored four goals with Laurie Bolger, Aoife Barry and Aoife McDonald also finding the net in this 7-0 win.
