The September meeting took place recently. The meeting started with the demonstration. This was given by Geraldine O’Connor with Aloe Vera products from Forever Living. Geraldine gave us some ideas on different products and what they do. After tea served by Carol Gray the meeting took place.

The meeting started with a vote of sympathy with the Waters, Kehoe, Hannon, Murphy Stafford, Whitty, Sinnott and Walsh families. Our sympathies also went to the families of Mai Roche and Maeve Knight, who were former members. The guild was represented at Mai’s funeral.

The business was then dealt with. The next few months will be busy with activities. The Go for life Grant has been applied for and we hope to start fitness classes soon. The Federation walks have taken place with the money devided between Cottage Autism and St Vincent de Paul. The Federation Christmas outing takes place on December 20 to see the Sound of music in the Bord Gais Theatre.

The next guild meeting takes place on Wednesday, October 18, in the Scout Hall at 7.30. New members are always welcome. The demonstration at the meeting is Autum gardening with Syl Doyle from Wilton Gardens. Please come and join us at 8.30 for an open demonstration.
