150TH ANNIVERSARY
On the weekend of October 22, St Mary’s Church, Cushinstown will celebrate 150 years since its dedication. To mark this important milestone in the history of the church and the faith community of the parish of Cushinstown Mr Bernard Browne will deliver a lecture on the history on Friday, October 20, at 8 p.m. in the parish church followed by refreshments.
Mass of Thanksgiving celebrated by Most Rev Denis Brennan, Bishop of Ferns will take place at 11.15 a.m. on Sunday, October 22, Following the Mass parishioners are invited to refreshments at the Old School in Cushinstown.
As part of the celebrations there will be a 30 minutes Meditation on the Scriptures led by Sr. Stephanie O’Brien in Old School on Wednesday, October 25, from 7.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
As we celebrate a journey of faith lived over 150 years parishioners are invited to partake in a walk from Cushinstown to the St Brigid’s Holy Well in Terrerath on Monday, October 30, commencing at 10.30 a.m. from Cushinstown NS In walking, and stopping at sacred places along the way, we remember the journey of faith that has brought us to celebrate 150 years of St Mary’s Church, Cushinstown in 2017 and St Brigid’s Church, Terrerath that was celebrated in 2016.

Tickets for the split-the-pot are at €2 and are available locally and will be drawn every Sunday in Cushinstown Church after 11.15 Mass.
BINGO
Don’t forget Monthly Bingo the first Sunday of every month. This will be held in the Horse and Hound and is held in Aid of St Mary’s Church Cushinstown.
HALLOWEEN DISCO
There is a Halloween Disco, for first to third years in the community centre Terrerath, on Friday night October 27, from 8.30 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. This will be fully supervised, and dress up is optional on the night (prize on the night). Everyone with an interest in using the track is urged to attend.
