COFFEE MORNING

There is a coffee morning in aid of Ozanam House on October 22 at 11 a.m. in the hall in Ballyculla­ne – everyone welcome.

WALKING TRACK MEETING

The new walking track at the sports ground at the Tintern Complex is now available to use and lighting has been installed to facilitate walkers in these dark evenings. An open meeting will be held at the Tintern Complex on Wednesday, October 25, at 8.30 p.m. to discuss the best way to manage this fantastic facility. Everyone with an interest in using the track is urged to attend.

ST KEARNS DVDS

The last few DVDs of the acclaimed documentar­y about the explosion in St Kearns in 1920 are currently on sale through Ballyculla­ne PO.

MANUAL HANDLING COURSE

Wexford Local Developmen­t are running a free Manual Handling Course in the Parish Hall on Thursday, October 19, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

To be eligible for this training you must fulfil one or more of the following: be unemployed, working part time, be a young person seeking work or training, you or your family are living on a low income, have a disability, belong to the Traveller or Roma community, be a one parent family, a migrant, refugee or asylum seeker.

RACKARD LEAGUE

Scoil Mhuire’s Rackard Laegue Football team was in action twice recently. They were well beaten by a strong Piercestow­n side but had a battling 2 point win over Glynn. They meet Cushinstow­n in the final group game.

Meanwhile the Mini 7s football team gave 2 fine performanc­es in Rd 2 beating Danescastl­e and Ballyhack and will now meet Rathangan and Murrintown in the semi-final.

TABLE QUIZ

St Louis Day Care Centre are holding a table quiz on Saturday, November 4, at 9 p.m. in Sláinte Bar, Ramsgrange Cost per person €10 for table of four. Prize of €100 for winning table plus raffle prizes on the night. All proceeds go towards the ongoing mini bus fundraiser.

ART CLASSES

Art classes have commence in Ramsgrange Community School on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. for 8 weeks.

SHELBURNE BADMINTON

Elected at the recent AGM for the coming season were as follows. Chairman: Michael Murphy. Secretary: Mary Somers. Treasurers: John Hickey and owen Rowe. PRO: Martina Cummins. Underage: Brid Kehoe and Jimmy Butler.

Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday in Ramsgrange C.S. from 8.30 to 10.30. New members welcome.
