FREEFUN DAYFOR ALLTHE FAMILY

On Tuesday, October 31, there will be a great free family event in Gorey Town Park from 12 noon until 4 p.m.

It will include a Halloween Treasure Trail in associatio­n with Gorey Youth Needs and Gorey Chamber of Commerce. The park will be decorated for Halloween and there will be spooky Pirates Cove train rides, face painting, arts and crafts and a special Halloween Activity Trail. There will also be a Scarecrow Making workshop or you can bring along your own scarecrow and enter the ‘Very Gorey Halloween Scarecrow Competitio­n’.

Also on the day there will be a carved pumpkin competitio­n (bring along your pumpkin) and an autumn leaves collage - a fun art project that anyone can replicate in their back garden. Refreshmen­ts available.

The event has been organised by Gorey Municipal District with support of Gorey Youth Needs, Gorey Chamber of Commerce and local supporting businesses including: Gas Lamp Gallery & Cullen’s Fruit and Vegetables.

HALLOWEEN WORKSHOP

Halloween workshop at Wexford Lavender Farm between 1 a.m. and 12 noon. Gemma from Little Gems Baking Academy will be decorating scary but delicious buns (age 3+). The cost is €10 per child. Booking essential, call 087 068 6774.
