A Night of Nostalgia Cloughbawn GAA Club together with Norma Flood Doyle presents the night of all nights with our own Legend Mr Séamus Walsh in ‘This is your Life’ on on Saturday, October 28, in the Cloch Ban, commencing at 9 p.m. MC on the night will be Ger Flood with lots of special guests, tickets on sale in local post office and shop or from club members.

Clothes Recycling Drive: Why not bring your unwanted Clothes to Cloughbawn GAA Complex and support Norma Flood Doyle’s Centenary Ambassador Campaign ‘The more it Weighs the more we Raise.’ Mark Codd Campaign will hold a Mid Term break Teenage Disco on Thursday, November 2, from 9 p.m. to midnight with DJ Tyler O’Brien. Fully Supervised. Strictly Alcohol Free. Admission on the door eight euros.

PEADAR MAXWELL

Raheen Family Resource centre is delighted to be hosting an informatio­n session by the well known Psychologi­st Peadar Maxwell on the topic ‘understand­ing and responding to anxiety in adolescenc­e’ in Coláiste Abbain on Wednesday, October 25, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. including question and answer session. This session is open to all and it is free of charge.

The Diocesan Pioneer general meeting takes place on Tuesday, October 24, in Bree community centre at 8 p.m. The Pioneer social dinner is on Friday, November 24, at the Riverside Park Hotel Enniscorth­y - for more informatio­n watch this space.

PONY RACING

Mikey Sheehy, son of Eamonn ‘Dusty ‘and Rosheen Sheehy, Coolroe, Graiguenam­anagh, had three winners at the final meeting of the Irish Field Riders Championsh­ip 2017 of the Pony Racing at Athea, Co Limerick on Sunday, October 7, This cements his position at head of the national competitio­n. He was presented with the winning jockey’s trophy with 45 winners, with the nearest jockey finished the season with 36 winners who was Dylan Brown McMonagle.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Mr Walter Kirwan former secretary at the Department of the Taoiseach will be Guest Speaker, who will speak on the subject of ‘Working Towards Peace in the North of Ireland’ on Friday, October 27, at 8 p.m. ,In Graiguenam­anagh Library.

LIBRARY NEWS

A huge thanks to everyone who attended our Bookville events last week it was a wonderful, fun filled, energetic and educationa­l week. From wonderful successful authors and illustrato­rs to twice Academy Award and BAFTA nominated animation filmmakers – we had it all. We look forward to next year and making it bigger and better. Science week is next on the agenda so watch this space.

Don’t forget our story time for children takes place every Thursday in the library, no need to book just turn up. Art group meets every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
