Record nominations for chamber awards
THIS YEAR’s gala New Ross & District Chamber Business awards ceremony has seen a record number of entries.
The awards take place on Saturday night in the Brandon House Hotel.
There are 12 awards in total and the winners of each category will receive a specially commissioned piece which has been kindly sponsored by world class master sculptor Fred Curtis of Fred Curtis Crystal and remaining finalists will receive a ‘Certificate of Excellence’.
An evening of fine food, style and great entertainment awaits everyone who is attending this gala event.
Music on the night will be provided by Elemeno and MC for the evening will be Mr Alan Corcoran. The event is black tie and an evening not to be missed.
The evening is kindly sponsored by Wexford County Council and the New Ross Standard are once again media partners.

This year all finalists will be included in a draw. The winner of the draw will then choose a charity of their choice and the chamber will donate €200 on their behalf.
The winner of the ‘New Ross & District Person of the Year’ 2017 along with the ‘Employee of the Year’ will also be announced on the night, with the highly anticipated ‘Overall Business of the Year 2017’ also being announced.
Chairperson of Organising Committee Margaret Goldsmith said: ‘It’s great to see that entries are up again on last year. This shows that small companies and organisations are resilient, putting their best foot forward and seeking recognition for their efforts.’
