Emmet gains gold in backstroke
CONGRATULATIONS TO Emmet Cousins (10) who represented Scoil Mhuire (Coolcotts) at the Leinster Minor schools swimming championships at the N.A.C., Dublin, recently.
Emmet took gold in the 50m backstroke in a new personal best time of 37.96 seconds, and silver in the 100m individual medley.
Emmet also qualified for the Irish Minor schools swimming championships in February.
Emmet is a member of Wexford Swimming Club, and Wexford Pool and Surf Lifesaving Club, and was also selected this year along with his older brother, Dillon, for the Leinster swimming skills academy squad.
