DIVISION 1
THE topsy-turvy nature of Division 1 was perfectly illustrated on Sunday when joint-leaders St. Leonards were beaten by Ferns United, who coming into the game hadn’t a single point to their name.
John Breen and James Lawlor got their goals as they edged out the saints 2-1, with Graeme Cullen replying.
Rosslare Rangers moved three points clear at the summit with a comfortable 4-0 win away to Shelburne, with Niall Walsh, Rob Cousins, Paul Culleton and Cian Meyler getting their goals.
North End United got the better of Moyne Rangers, winning 2-1 with goals from Dylan Walsh and T.J. Doyle.
Toby Smith bagged a hat-trick for Curracloe United as they came out on top in a seven-goal thriller with Wexford Bohs, with Steven McGuire netting their other goal and Dermot Flood (two) and Seán Pailing getting on the scoresheet for Bohs.
