600 years of history comes to an end

Almost six hundred years of history has come to an end at Bridgetown.

An animal feed mill there is to be put up for sale as a going concern by County Wexford Marts. Six people were laid off when the mill closed last week.

County Wexford Marts too over the milling operation ten years ago from Mr. Jimmy Furlong. Milling has been carried on in the building for nearly six hundred years. However, the current operation is a modern computeris­ed set-up.

County Wexford Marts will retain its hardware and agricultur­al supplies store in Bridgetown.
