CARDS

Three teams shared the prizes at the card game in St Leonards hall last week. They were; Nick Doyle, Johnny Flynn, Peter Stafford and Billy Shannon, Pat Muray, Martin Stafford and Dave Walsh, Mae Dunning and James McDonald. Winners of the last game draw were; Kathleen Cadogan, Wilie White and Luke Power. The raffle winners were John Joe Murphy, Kathleen Cadogan, James McDonald and Nick Doyle. The cards continue every Saturday night at 8.3opm sharp. Your support would be greatly appreciate­d.

WALKING TRACK

The new walking track at the sports ground at the Tintern Complex is now available to use and lighting has been installed to facilitate users in these dark evenings. The facility is there for the entire parish to use. You can run, walk or just stroll around and have a chat with friends. The track is available all day and it is lit up till 8.30 p.m. each week night. Get active now and make room for the Christmas dinner.

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner in the Tintern lotto draw last week. Five people matched three numbers and each received €40. They were; Harry Twomey Yoletown (2) Mark Molloy, Carrie Browne, Coole and Fr Seán Laffan, c/o J Flynn. Next week’s jackpot will be €2,450 and next week’s match-three winners will share €200. Tickets on sale in all local shops and from committee members.

INVITATION FOR TENDER

Fr Michael Doyle hereby invites tenders for roof repairs on the Parochial House St Leonards which was damaged during the recent storm. Please call to the parish office on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for viewing or alternativ­ely by prior appointmen­t. CHRISTMAS RAFFLE

We are looking for volunteers to help with the sale of raffle tickets for our Christmas draw. Please call to the Parochial House for books of tickets which are available from October Bank Holiday Monday. The draw will take place in St Leonards Hall on Sunday, December 10, where we will have a cake sale and coffee morning.
