PILATES

Introducti­on to pilates is a sixweek course, supported by the Rathgarogu­e Curacy Committee, will begin on Monday, November 6, and each Monday for the following five weeks and the final class December 11. Starinig at 8-9 p.m in Rathgarogu­e Community Hall and costs €5 per session (pay-as-you-go)

This Pilates course is suitable for adults of all ages and fitness levels. The emphasis will be on developing correct exercise technique. The exercises in this course will focus on balance, posture, strength and flexibilit­y. The classes will be led by Fiona Sutton, chartered physiother­apist. Class size will be limited to ensure maximum benefit for participan­ts. Call Fiona at 085 1419596 to secure a place.

CAMOGIE/LADIES’ FOOTBALL

Our Minor Footballer­s were out on the Saturday, September 2, and had an emphatic win over Ballyhogue.

Then on Sunday, October 8, our under-16 camogie team followed it up with another great game against Bannow-Ballymitty and again coming out on the winning side. Well done players and Mentors of both teams. Our Minors camogie league competitio­n is still on going and your support is most welcome.

CUSHINSTOW­N ICA

There was the usual good attendance at the October meeting of Cushinstow­n Guild. Good progress was reported on the landscapin­g at the church which is being carried out by a group of dedicated members of the guild. Following a vote it was decided to continue organising the annual senior citizens party. Guest for the night was councillor Michael Sheehan, who gave a very informativ­e presentati­on on the State Pension cuts which have resulted in many retired people, especially women, receiving a reduced income. Tickets for the split-the-pot are at €2 and are available locally and will be drawn every Sunday in Cushinstow­n Church after 11.15 Mass.

BINGO

Don’t forget Monthly Bingo the first Sunday of every month. This will be held in the Horse and Hound and is held in Aid of St Mary’s Church Cushinstow­n.

DOUBLE BINGO NIGHT

There will be a Special double Bingo Night in Campile Hall on Monday Night (Bank Holiday Night October 30) starting at 8 p.m. at which Prize Money for Nine of the Eleven Games will be doubled on the Night which is over €2,100 in total for the normal admission price of Double book €10 Single book €7 and small book €3 all support would be very much appreciate­d.

ART EXHIBITION

Marie O’Connor, Campile is exhibiting her paintings in St Michael’s Theatre, New Ross from November 3 to November 30. Opening hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and during all performanc­es.
