Remembrance Day broadcast
THE first ever live broadcast from St Iberius Church in Wexford is due to take place during the annual Remembrance Day service on Sunday (November 12).
The ecumenical broadcast, honouring Wexford’s war dead, is scheduled to begin earlier than usual at 10 a.m. to facilitate the 40-minute broadcast on South East Radio.
The service will included political, clerical, gardai and military representatives, members of the county’s emergency services and the British Legion.
Canon Arthur Minion will lead the service and the Loch Garman Band will accompany the congregational hymns and play selected music associated with Remembrance Day including Edward Elgar’s ‘Nimrod’.
