Cash stolen from elderly person

THE home of an elderly person was burgled in New Ross at the weekend.

The burglary occurred at a residence in St Canice’s Tce as the owner was at Mass. The front door was opened and a quantity of cash was taken. Gardaí are advising people not to leave any money in their house.

A Barrowview Heights home was also burgled at some point between Wednesday and Saturday. A back window was smashed and the house was ransacked but nothing is understood to have been taken.
