AGM Notice is hereby given that the annual general meeting of St Mary’s Community Hall will take place on Tuesday, November 21, at 8 p.m. in st. Mary’s Hall. This is an open meeting and all are welcome to attend.

SING OUT LOUD

FLOWER ARRANGING DEMO

St Louis Day Care Centre are holding a Flower Arranging Demonstrat­ion by Lily Bloom on Friday, November 17, at 7.30 in the Fort Conan Hotel, Duncannon. Cost is €10. There will be ideas for Christmas flower arrangemen­ts along with pop up shops on the night. Your support would be greatly appreciate­d.

RACE NIGHT

Fethard St Mogue’s GAA Club are running a race night on Saturday, December 2, in Neville’s, please note change of date. Horses are on sale from club members, please come along and support.

LATE MAY DORAN

The death occurred on October 17 in her 94th year of Mary (May) Doran, Saltmills. Beloved sister of Lizzie, Kathleen and the late Ted, Madge, Jim and Ann and sadly missed by her loving family, relatives and fiends. Funeral Mass took place in St Aidan’s Church, Poulfur with burial afterwards in the new cemetery Clongeen. Sympathy is extended to her family, relatives and friends.

Attending the 150th anniversar­y celebratio­ns for Cushinstow­n parish were Pauline Connick from Rochestown, Breda Kinsella, Ballinaboo­la and Catherine Dempsey, Cushinstow­n. LATE CHARLES AULD

The death has occurred on October 27 of Charles William Auld, Grange, Fethard-on-Sea.. Devoted son of the late Frank and Mary Auld, husband of the late Dorothy (Doreen) née Miller, he is deeply regretted by his loving nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, neighbours and many friends. Funeral Services took place in St Mogue’s Church, Fethard-onSea, with burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. Sympathy is extended to his family, relatives and friends.

SET DANCING CLASSES

FETHARD ST MOGUE’S

The intermedia­te hurlers played the Dublin Champions, Erin’s Isle in the Leinster Championsh­ip last Saturday in Dublin – full report in next week’s paper.

WEEKLY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s Club lotto jackpot of €2,400 so next week’s jackpot stands at €2,500. The club had one lucky-dip winner, Ciara Walsh, who won €30 and also Droopy’s won the seller’s prize of €30.

SPLIT-THE-POT

Congratula­tions to Niall Murphy, who won €99 in this month’s split-the-pot. The Saltmills and St Kearns Community Group would like to thank everybody for their continued support. Next months draw will take place on November 26 in Vine Cottage.

BLUEBELL CAFÉ

The Bluebell Café, St Louis Day Care Centre will be open on Wednesday, December 6, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for older people, their families and carers who are coping with memory loss. All are welcome to come in and enjoy a cup of tea and chat with others in similar situation and obtain informatio­n.

CRAFT FAIR
