Wexford inspiredart exhibition
The second is the art series exhibitions at Hook Lighthouse opens at the new Gallery Exhibition at the 800-yearold Hook Lighthouse and Heritage Centre and runs until December 4th 2017.
The new exhibition from the award-winning artist Dick Donaghue. Dick says that painting and drawing has, since childhood, always been his passion. ‘I like to use and try all the materials available; Oils, watercolour, soft pastels, oil pastels, pencil and charcoal. Putting images on paper or canvas excites me and totally absorbs me to the point where I am not aware of time or place.’
Commenting on the exhibition at Hook, Dick says: ‘These paintings in the Hook Exhibition were painted “en Plein Air” around County Wexford, as a member of the South East Plein Air group. I am delighted to show them and hope that everyone gets as much joy from viewing them as I had painting them.’
Team member at Hook Lighthouse and artist herself Anne Tweedy curates the monthly exhibitions.
