Local teenager charged with chipper robbery

A YOUNG man was brought before Gorey District Court in garda custody last week charged with a robbery at a New Ross chipper and the theft of an MPV.

Ryan Healy (18) of 11 Fairgreen, Irishtown, New Ross, was charged with robbery at Boody’s Chipper at Three Bullet Gate, New Ross, on September 29 last, making off with €230 cash - the property of Nadia Petrusevic. Healy was also charged with the theft of an MPV from 11 Fairgreen, Irishtown, on September 28 last.

He had taken a bench warrant in relation to the charges and was brought before the court in custody. Judge Haughton heard that there was no directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions and the case was adjourned until November 14.
