Motorists fined

NO seat belt in place, no current motor tax displayed, no tread on one of his rear tyres and no payment of fines issued in the post.

The was the story of Thomas Gerard Murphy (23) from 26 Castlemoyle, New Ross as told to Judge Gerard Haughton at Wexford District Court.

Offences committed at Robert Street on November 29, 2016 led to three fines of €300 each, a total penalty of €900. Murphy was not in court. Also not in attendance was Alice Murphy (22) from the same address in Castlemoyle, whose failure to wear her safety belt on the occasion cost her €300.
