Child had no safety belt

PATRICK BERRY (22), 3 Raheen, New Ross was summonsed for driving with a child who as not safely belted in at Robert Street.

Garda Mairead Cummins told the District Court that the child she saw at a checkpoint was 12 years old.

A fine of €300 was handed down by Judge Gerard Haughton.
