PASSION PLAY 2018

There will be an open meeting in Camross Hall on Wednesday, November 15, at 8 p.m. for all people interested in being involved in Passion Play 2018. The committee invites anyone interested in partaking in the choir, performing in the Play itself, helping with Sets, Costumes, Make Up, Front of house, Back stage and helping with tea. All will be very welcome.

DECEMBER DANCE

The December Dance will be held in Camross Ballroom on Friday, December 1. with proceeds in aid of Caroreigh parish funds. Music will be provided by the ever popular Brendan and Patricia Lee, with dancing from 10 p.m. till midnight. Admission is €8 including the tea and Door Prizes. Come along to our Christmas dance, a wonderful night guaranteed plus supporting Caroreigh parish funds. Taghmon ICA.

The November meeting takes place on Wednesday, November 15. The meeting is an open meeting. Syl Doyle from Wilton Gardens in Bree will give us tips and informatio­n on how to prepare your garden for winter. Please come and join us at 7.30 in the Scout Hall.

CAMROSS ICA

Our last meeting was held on Monday, November 6, in the Old School in Carroreagh. Dympna congratula­ted all the young ladies from the Bridgetown Guild for holding a most enjoyable Convenienc­e meeting. Mary Kelly, who recently held a successful coffee day confirmed that it raised €2,600 for the Wexford Hospice Homecare. Well done Mary and Gerald.

This month, our meeting was followed by our annual ecumenical service in remembranc­e of deceased ICA members. The service was jointly held by Father Robert McGuire and Revd. Arthur Minion, and was followed by delicious tea and scones served by Breda Whelan and Irene Redmond. The winner of our monthly competitio­n of the ‘ nicest Halloween wreath’ was Mary Margaret Roche.

A few dates for your diary: November 26 (1.30 p.m.) Christmas party organised by Camross ICA Guild in the GAA Complex in Taghmon November 27 – Federation Meeting in Ferrycarri­g Hotel. Please bring tree crochet/knitted decoration­s for the memorial tree. December 8 – Our own Christmas dinner in Mary Barry’s, Kilmore. February 11 – The Wexford Federation 70th Anniversar­y lunch in the Talbot. March 10 – Jem Pack Baking competitio­n in An Grianán.

Our next meeting will be at 8 p.m. on Monday, December 4, in Camross Hall. The monthly competitio­n will be the ‘ Best Household hint’. We hope to see. you there.
