RE-SCHEDULED EVENT
Due to the recent bereavements and tragedies in the community and as a mark of respect to the bereaved families, the Rathgarogue Curacy Committee and parents’ association of Scoil Naomh Áine have re-scheduled the turning on of the Christmas tree lights.
This event will now take place on Saturday, December 16, when Santa Claus visits Rathgarogue to turn on the lights on the community Christmas tree with the help of some local school children. We hope children and adults will join us on this festive occasion to see Santa arrive in the spectacular Christmas tractor parade.
Santa will be accompanied by some of his elves who are taking time out from their busy schedules to come to Rathgarogue and join in the festive fun. Santa will briefly meet and greet the children and there might even be some little treats.
Christmas songs and carols will be led by members of the Rathgarogue Church Choir and everyone is invited to join in at 6.15 p.m on Saturday, December 16, at the grotto in Rathgarogue Please wear your Santa hat and Christmas jumper and bring along a battery-operated night light to help create a real Christmas atmosphere. We would ask parents/guardians to take care of their children on this occasion which will take place adjacent to the road that runs through Rathgarogue.
We also ask you to use the car parks at the school and the graveyard. Please co-operate with the event stewards to ensure a safe and enjoyable evening for all. We look forward to seeing you all on the night.
