Kennedy College’s TYs get crafty

-

Transition Year students at Kennedy College made every effort to impress last week for the now annual Christmas craft fair.

Their hard work, commitment and great entrepreneurial skills paid off and ensured a hugely successful Christmas craft fair for everyone.

With home baking and wooden crafts in high demand, the students had a back order following the fair, which they have been working hard to fulfil.

A school spokesperson said: ‘A huge thank you to Ms Jamie Ellen Doyle for her patience, hard work and drive. She got each and every student working and using their art, horticulture, woodwork and metalwork skills to full advantage. The crafts on sale were absolute fabulous.

‘A big thank you to Mr Padraig Cassin for his mentoring and hard work with the woodcrafts and to Mr Michael Freyne for his mentoring and hard work with metal crafts. Thanks to Mairead for donating some plants for sale. Thank you, SNA Maria Doyle, for the professional photography. Finally, thank you to all our visitors today who took the time to pop up to our school and support the TY craft fair.’
