Ramsgrange gets festive!

-

A WEEK of festive themed dress-up days entitled ‘Spirit Week’ took place recently in Ramsgrange National School. Organised by school principal Lorraine Kennedy as a fundraiser for the school, the week was a great success and included some lovely carol singing.

The children thoroughly enjoyed getting into the ‘spirit’ of things and dressing up for each day’s theme.

Monday’s theme was ‘Pyjama Day’, Tuesday was ‘ Mad Hat Day’, Wednesday was ‘ Exercise Day’. Thursday was ‘ Rainbow Day’ and Friday was ‘Festive Day’.

It was well worth €1 per day to not have to wear the uniform according to some. Teachers also joined in and there was a lovely atmosphere around the school all week. The most popular day turned out to be ‘Pyjama Day’ as the children thought it was great fun to wear their pyjamas to school! Ms Kennedy would like to thank all the wonderful parents who also got into the spirit of the week by making sure the children looked their best on each day.
