Last weekend the Castle Vintage club presented us with a very generous donation. This donation will go a long way towards the running costs of all the events in 2018. Thanks again to the committee of the Castle Vintage Club. Happy Christmas and best wishes for 2018 to all.

CAMROSS ICA

Our next meeting will be at 8 p.m. on Monday, January 8, in Camross Hall. The monthly competitio­n will be the ‘nicest scene on a Christmas Card’. Happy New Year to All and we hope to see you in 2018.

A few dates for your diary: February 8 – table quiz in Rochford’s Pub, Camross.

February 11 – The Wexford Federation 70th Anniversar­y lunch in the Talbot.

February 26 – Federation meeting in the Ferrycarri­g Hotel.

March 8 – To celebrate Internatio­nal Women’s Day, the ladies will take part in a ‘yarn-bombing’ event in the Bullring, Wexford.

March 9 – Irish Night. March 10 – Jem Pack Baking competitio­n in An Grianán.

The next meeting takes place on Wednesday, January 17, in the Scout Hall. New members always welcome.

SUPERVISED STUDY

Wexford Local Developmen­t and Taghmon Action Group continue their partnershi­p to provide supervised study sessions for secondary school students in Taghmon. Extra places have now become available from January, commencing on January 8 the cost is €5 per week per student to cover the cost of lighting/heating.

At the moment the student study facilities are available from Monday to Thursday from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., with the possibilit­y of extending the time in January from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
