There was a good attendance at the recent montly meeting held in the community centre. Condolences was send to the Flood Family, Clonroche on the death of Seán. The guild are having their annual Christmas Dinner in Whitford house Hotel on Saturday night. They would like to wish all their members a very happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.
SCOR NA NÓG
Huge congratulations to our Scor na nÓg competitors at the Leinster semi-final last week. Aoibhinn Cooper (Recitation and Figure Dancing) and Lisa Murphy, Nathan McDonald, Cormac Cooper, Aoife Fleming, Caoimhe Quigley, Bridin Quigley and Phena Quigley (Figure Dancing) all qualified and go on to represent Cloughbawn and Wexford in the Leinster Final.
The Leinster Final takes place on Sunday, January 14, at 3 p.m. in the National Opera House, Wexford. We would encourage everyone to make use of the home advantage and come along and support our young, talented members. The event makes for a great afternoon’s entertainment and the talent on show is excellent.
The tickets are on sale and are selling very quickly. €10 for adults and €5 for children. They increase in price after Christmas so book early. We hope to block book tickets and get them all together. If you want tickets please contact Geraldine at 085 7153264 ASAP.
CAMOGIE CLUB NEWS.
Congratulations to Cloughbawn’s Minor team who lifted the trophy on December 17 at Castleboro, after winning their county final against Castletown. The girls got off to a great start and maintained their lead throughout the game, it came close at one stage with Castletown getting a goal to bring them within a few points, but Cloughbawn responded straight away and score a matching goal, Full time score was 2-16 to 1-6.

VINTAGE CLUB RUN
The annual Road run to Aughyvoiur will take place on St Stephen’s Day leaving Clonroche at 1 p.m., registration at 12.30, The proceeds from this year’s run will be in aid of Clonroche Meals on Wheels.
SYMPATHY
The death has occurred of Paddy Collins Clonroche, on Tuesday, December 19, Paddy, son of the late Dermot and Mona was removed to Cloughbawn on Wednesday evening and his funeral Mass took place on Thursday with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. He will be missed by his brother Larry, sister-in-law Nora, nephews Dermot and Luke, niece Niamh, relatives and and a wide circle of friends.

Bree Parish Journal No 18 is now on sale. The journal covers many of the events and activities in the area over the past two years as well as a number of items of historical interest.
