DANCING AT CAMROSS

The first dance for 2018 will be held in Camross Ballroom on Friday, January 5. with music by the ever popular Peter Burke. Come along, dance the night away and work off some of the plum pudding. Dancing from 10 p.m. to midnight. Admission is €8 including the tea.

PASSION PLAY 2018

The first rehearsal for the Play will be held in Camross Hall on Tuesday, January 9 at 8 p.m. Please note change of date. All interested in performing please come along, performers from previous production­s are very welcome as are those of you who have not been with us before. New talent is required so we hope to see you all on Tuesday the 9th at 8 p.m. Please watch this space for date of first choir meeting. Many Thanks and happy Christmas to all.

Our next meeting will be at 8 p.m. on Monday, January 8, in Camross Hall. The monthly competitio­n will be the ‘nicest scene on a Christmas Card’. Happy New Year to All and we hope to see you in 2018.

A few dates for your diary: February 8 – table quiz in Rochford’s Pub, Camross. February 11 – The Wexford Federation 70th Anniversar­y lunch in the Talbot. February 26 – Federation meeting in the Ferrycarri­g Hotel.

March 8 – To celebrate Internatio­nal Women’s Day, the ladies will take part in a ‘yarn-bombing’ event in the Bullring, Wexford. March 9 – Irish Night. March 10 – Jem Pack Baking competitio­n in An Grianán.

TAGHMON ICA

The next meeting takes place on Wednesday, January 17, in the Scout Hall. New members always welcome.

SUPERVISED STUDY

Wexford Local Developmen­t and Taghmon Action Group continue their partnershi­p to provide supervised study sessions for secondary school students in Taghmon. Extra places have now become available from January, commencing on January 8 the cost is €5 per week per student to cover the cost of lighting/heating.

At the moment the student study facilities are available from Monday to Thursday from 5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., with the possibilit­y of extending the time in January from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
