ST KEARNS DOCUMENTARY

2017 saw the launch of the long awaited documentary on the St Kearns Explosion. The committee worked hard on this project for the last two years and would now like to express their gratitude to all who helped in the making of this documentary.

This includes the property owners who let them use their property and the Colclough Hall committee for the use of the hall. Thanks also to the sponsors and to interviewees, actors and all those who helped behind the scene with props and make up etc. Thanks to Tom and Lorraine Walsh from the Vine Cottage in Saltmills and also to St Michael’s Theatre in New Ross.

The committee had a very successful launch night and have since sold a huge number of DVDs, thanks in no small way to the efforts of Joy Whelan of Ballycullane PO Indeed a second order for DVDs had to be placed and the last of these are still available from Ballycullane PO the committee consisted of Michael Whelan (chairman), Billy Downes (secretary), Michael Walsh and Vivion Tubritt (joint treasurers), Paudie Foran (PRO), Nicholas Lacey (Research) and committee members Thomas Kinsella, John Kinsella, Patrick Sinnott, Tom Carty, Aidan Carty, James Mullally, Martin Waters, Tom Murphy, Michael Ryan, Ned Finn and Willie Fitzharris.
