PASSION PLAY

Director, Michael Stafford is happy with very positive rehearsals up to now but there are still a number of positions to be filled. Rehearsals continue on Tuesday, January 30 and February 1 this week at 8 p.m. If you are interested and would like more informatio­n give Breda Banville, secretary a call at 087 9270327. The kettle is always on the boil for a welcome cuppa after rehearsals and choir members are welcome up to the hall for a well deserved cup of tea also.

PASSION PLAY CHOIR

The first choir rehearsal for Passion Play 2018 will be held on Tuesday, February 30. 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. in St Garvan’s Church, Caroreigh with next rehearsal on Thursday, April 1, 7.30 p.m. till 9 p.m. All are very welcome to come along and be part of this wonderful project with Musical Directors Vicki Barron and Anita Cullen.

TABLE QUIZ

Camross Hall Committee will hold a table quiz in Camross Hall on Friday, February 16. at 8.30 p.m. in aid of ongoing refurbishm­ent on the hall. Table of Four, €20. Raffle, spots and a good night out.

CAMROSS ICA

Our next meeting will be at 8 p.m. on Monday, February 5, in Camross Hall. The monthly competitio­n will be a ‘2 pounds Loaf Tin Ginger Bread Cake’.

CASTLE VINTAGE CLUB

Castle Vintage Club held their annual AGM in the Scout Hall, Taghmon last Friday night. Officers elected as follows.

Chair – Pat Monaghan; Vice-chairman – Martin Dunne; secretary – Davie Maher; Vice-secretary – John Whitney; treasurer – Karl Winters; Vice-treasurer – MJ Dunne; PRO – PJ Williams; Route Organiser – Noel Wall; Safety Officer – Paddy McCrea; Committee Members – Mick Foley, James Whitty and Ollie Cadogan.

Any members wishing to travel on the May Bank Holiday threeday run please attend the next meeting. Also, membership will be taken on the night.
