SAD PASSING

A belated deepest sympathy to Tesie Murphy and family Ballygow on the death of her mother Maureen White of Cousinstow­n, Bridgetown last November. Maureen’s remains were brought to St Anne’s and St James church Tomhaggard for funeral Mass at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, with burial afterwards in St Mary’s cemetery Kilmore. May she Rest In Peace.

SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy to Daphne Harris and family on the death of her husband Bobby. Bobby is survived by his wife Daphne, daughter Susan, son Mark and extended family. The funeral service was last Tuesday at 12.30 in St Paul’s church Balloughto­n followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

MARY WATERS R.I.P.

The death occurred of Mary Waters (née Murphy) of Newtown, Bannow last Monday, January 22. Mary was in her 85th year and is survived by her son Liam and extended family. Her removal was on Tuesday the 23rd at 6.30 to church of Mary Immaculate and St Joseph Carrig-on-Bannow with funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards with her late husband Pat in Bannow cemetery. May she Rest In Peace.

Grandparen­ts’ Day: We are holding Grandparen­ts’ Day as part of Catholic Schools Week on Wednesday, January 31, We will begin with a Mass in the church at 10 a.m. and grandparen­ts are invited back to our school for tea and a scone. The winners of the Progressiv­e 45 Card Game in Colclough Hall, Saltmills last Sunday night were Pat Whelan, Maureen Eustace and Joan Fardy.
